S.Skora, Rudolph, Roesch, Garlock, Schulz and Wieland come home victorious. Lancaster Raceway Park was host to another regular Saturday night race this weekend. Lake Erie Speedway wasn't racing, so the Late Model feature had some new faces as well as some familiar ones. It was great to see a good crowd as well as good car counts. The first feature of the evening was that of the TQ Midgets. 15 cars started the race with Mark Schulz on the pole with Vinny Christiano Jr. to his outside. Midget veteran Dave Wollaber started 9th. Shaun Szejanr brought out the first caution on lap 2. Schulz remained the leader and held off pressure from Wollaber and Bandelian to win his first TQ Midget feature of the year. Wollaber, Bandelian, Holmes and Turnbull rounded out the top 5. The Wacky 4 Cylinders hit the track next. The #40 car of Dan Wieland started on the pole and led every lap, but the race was still exciting. Two cars bounced off each other coming down the front stretch and the #17 car got put into the inside front stretch wall and went back out on the track. Also, a car lit on fire. Let's just say the feature was exciting and Dan Wieland came home with the victory. Tim Garlock started on the pole for the Street Stock feature with 24 cars behind him. Dirt driver Mark Loveland was behind the wheel of the Rob Bulger machine. Tim Garlock started out front with a new car and led every lap despite holding off pressure from John Julicher Jr and Jeff Madill. Garlock went on to win the race with Julicher, Madill, Jankowiak and Agen Sr rounding out the top 5. The Super Stock's were up next. James Kron III started on the pole. George Roesch moved out front on lap 1. Wayne Bernhard and Roesch battled for the lead on about lap 5. A few laps later, Dave Johnson moved up to second and tried passing Roesch on the outside but couldn't get it done. George Roesch went on to win with Bernhard, Johnson, Widmer and Kraemer rounding out the top 5. 12 cars started the SST Sportsman feature with Craig Dolphin on the pole. Dolphin remained the leader but on lap 11, Mike Stevenson spun. Dolphin remained the leader, but Burd, Rudolph, and Cappelli were on his tail. Burd and Rudolph were trying to get around Dolphin and Rudolph did it with some laps remaining in the feature. Rudolph created a small lead over Burd and Cappelli and went on to win his 2nd feature of the year. Burd, Cappelli, Gian and MacLeod rounded out the top 5. 16 cars started the Late Model feature with Scott Skora on the pole with Tommy Reese to his outside. On lap 1, George Skora spun in turn 3, but John McClurg and Cory Lischer hit the outside wall. On lap 3, Matt Alix came down on Hoddick down the front stretch and Hoddick spun. Alix was sent tail. Scott Skora remained the leader. On lap 8, Jeff Brown tried going under Skora down the back stretch and hopped up on Skoras rear quarter panel. Brown blew a tire and pulled off. Skora was still out front and went on to win his first race of the year. Nurmi, Hoddick, Weber and Alix rounded out the top 5. Next Weekend, Bobcat of Buffalo presents a Night at the Races with Fireworks.
