Alix, Rudolph, Bernhard, Garlock, Wollaber and Roesch all victorious on the first Saturday Night.

It was a chilly night and the stands were scattered with fans as many attractions were on tv this Saturday. Lancaster debuted the new 4cyl division and the Sportsman and Midgets hit the track for the first time in 2007.

The first feature of the evening was the TQ Midget feature. Mark Schulz started on the pole with 10 cars behind him. Dave Wollaber grabbed the lead early from Schulz and Wollaber went on to dominate the feature. Bobby Holmes also got around Schulz. Wollaber had a huge lead the entire race and went on to win. Holmes, Schulz, McGruder and Christiano rounded out the top 5.

Next was the debut of the new Fast and Furious 4 Cylinders. Not much is known about the division except 4 cyl cars are run on Lancaster's inner oval. Most of the drivers were unidentified but the race was exciting. Don Roesch in his #77 won the race with a hard charging #10 behind him.

McGard Wheel Lock Street Stocks were up next. Bob Hanel Sr started on the pole. Tim Garlock quickly got around him on lap 1. Cory Gallagher moved into second. The first caution came out after Bob Blaszak spun in turn 2. Tim Garlock retained the lead with John Julicher second and Jim Bryant third. With 5 to go, Julicher spun putting Bryant second. Garlock and Bryant were racing hard until the finish as Bryant was looking to get around Garlock but Tim Garlock was able to hold him off claiming his first win of the 2007 season. Bryant, Madill, Gallagher, and Mutka rounded out the top 5.

Even though the Ray Laks Resale Super Stocks draw 7 cars, the racing is still exciting. John Kraemer started out front and led the first few laps with Bernhard on his outside. Kraemer was racing hard but Bernhard was able to get around him on the outside and race on to the victory. Dave Johnson worked his way up to second and Batista finished third.

The SST Sportsman hit the track for the first time in 2007. New Sportsman driver Tom MacLeod started on the pole. In the early going, Frank Booker and Luke Wozniak  spun in turn 3, bringing out the caution. On the restart, Erick Rudolph got around Tom MacLeod. A hard charging Ed Murray got right up to Rudolph's back bumper but couldn't get around him as the laps wound down. Erick Rudolph won the race with Murray, Cappelli, Burd and MacLeod rounding out the top 5.

The final feature of the night was the BobCat of Buffalo Late Models. Matt Alix started the feature on the pole with 12 cars behind him. Scott Skora spun on the start, but other than that, there weren't any cautions. Alix held off pressure from Weber and Hoddick with his decent sized lead to win. Hoddick, Weber, Brown and Nurmi finished out in the top 5.

Next weekend, LancasterRacer.com will not be at Lancaster Raceway Park. We hope everyone has a good time at the track.
